You will be
responsible to look after the person’s home, possessions and pets. A
check list of duties will be provided to you by the home owner. In
return you will have plenty of free time, although you are expected to
stay on the premises for security reasons. Normally you will be able
to leave the premises during the day time for a couple of hours.
Duties
may include:

Plant watering
/ garden care (lawn cutting, swimming pool and greenhouse) |

Collecting
post / parcels |

Taking /
forwarding telephone messages

Ensuring that
the home is kept clean and tidy |

Checking that
the property is secure |

Possibly
having to deal with emergencies |


Remuneration is paid to you by the homeowner. Double time is normally
paid for all major bank holidays
The rates
are; House sitting from £28 per day, Pet sitting from £30 per day
Mileage
allowance 40p per mile
Meals; A
main meal per day and supply of basic provisions is expected to be
available to you, however if you have special dietary requirements it
is advisable that you purchase your own food during the assignment.
